My Experience With Churches & Charities.

Helping churches & charities with IT solutions is one of my greatest joys. The first church I helped was a large church in Cambodia doing their website, Facebook page, Google Listings, managed their mailing lists, and sent out regular newsletters.

In Canada I have been helping a local church since the start of the COVID pandemic. I updated their website, setup their Facebook page, post the weekly sermons onto the website (both written and video), got their mailing list working again, and I am sending out weekly and ad hoc newsletters. I have also trained church staff on live streaming. Additionally, through the website, social media and their Google listing, they have been able to keep the community updated on the church’s hours of operation and services because these have been changing regularly due to the government’s COVID policies.

In a volunteer capacity I am also helping other small charities and mission workers (in Canada and Cambodia) with their websites, IT support and training.

Primarily responsible for creation, update and maintenance of their website, Google My Business Listings and their social media platforms. Also posting weekly and ad-hoc content / stories to the website and sending out regular newsletters to their mailing list.

International Christian Assembly (ICA)

I did a major update to their website using WordPress and created their Google & Facebook pages. Converted their mailing lists from Google to Mailchimp and trained staff how to send weekly bulletins & news via Mailchimp. Implemented Google G-Suite and set up emails for all staff along with document sharing library.
